Common uses:   Used for aluminum mirror protection coatings, in UV laser antireflection coatings and high reflectors.  Specimen support for electron diffration.

Comments:  High temperature dielectric.  Adhesion is good on glass, other oxide materials, and some plastics.  Less background oxygen is needed to obtain low absorbing films.
